WHAT IS THE CSIR-NET'S UPPER AGE LIMIT?

Maximum age for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) is 28 years as of July 1, 2023.


DO OTHER CATEGORIES HAVE AGE RELAXATIONS?

If an applicant is SC, ST, THIRD GENDER, PWD, or female, the maximum age restriction may be relaxed by up to five years.

The upper age limit for OBC [non-creamy layer] may be relax  up to three years.


A lectureship has no upper age limit.LS/Associate Professor.


QUALIFICATIONS FOR CSIR-NET ELIGIBILITY .


Candidate now enrolled in an MSc program or its equivalent, an integrated BS program (MS–MS–4 YEARS), a BE program, a B.TECH program, a B.PHARMA program, or an MBBS program with at least 55% of general/general EWS marks.

50% for candidates who identify as OBC, SC/ST, THIRD GENDER, or have a disability.
